Venithos

In Venithos, society is thriving and made predominantly of cities and towns. Being a nation of small islands, many of those born and raised in the country aren't very aware of how things go on the outside, but many tourists and travelers have stories to share of their home nations and how things fare there.

 

The terrain of Venithos is quite rough outside of major cities and towns. It is uneven, and easily recognizable through the hills and spires that make up it's landscape. It's most notable feature is its northernmost island, Orpens. This island is shaped like the head of striking snake, fangs and all. Inside the hollow mouth was seen as a perfect location to build a city, given the natural protection from all but one side. It is a popular belief of locals to Venithos that the country was built upon the remains of a deity killed in an ancient war, thus forming its odd landscape.

Nok Harbor

The largest port city in Venithos, also the trading hub. It is where most find their way into the nation, either to stay or passing through.

Venithos is known as the nation of water and magic, and as such magic is happily accepted and often incorporated into daily life in a way which is not often seen in other nations of the world. The curiosity for magic is fostered here, and the nation is home to many world-renowned wizards and sorcerers. Many locals believe their inherent affinity to magic comes from energy left behind by the remains they built upon.

 

It is a melting pot of a nation with no 'main' race.

It is believed that Marids were once born of the waters surrounding Venithos. This is the closest thing the nation has to a native race, though it has been a very long time since there was last a report of this happening.

Venithos is the newest nation in the world by ~2,000 years. It is built on the remains of the dead god of chaos.
