Makani

Appearance

Makani is a light blue skinned woman with short, deep blue hair styled in a side-parted bob. The right side of her face has a simple blue tattoo design that goes down her neck, and her arms have similar tattoos.

She wears a blue-and-black sleeveless crop top with gold detailing and blue baggy pants tucked into knee-high black boots. Her brown cloak goes down to her mid-shins and is capable of concealing most of Makani's face if she so chooses. She also has red and light blue belts and several pouches attached at her waist and thighs for easy access.

 

Personality

Makani is extremely cautious around others, careful to keep her cards close to her chest and confused when people around her do not do the same. She is reluctant to share the most mundane pieces of information for fear it may be used against her. She is quite jumpy, both literally and figuratively, as she can leap high into the air with nothing but a standing start.

Makani dislikes bugs and dirt.

Background

Makani is from Mirona, the Grand Tree, specifically its canopy. She was not allowed to go below the branches, saying that there were a lot of restrictions for her. Though she says she liked the environment, she cannot go back and does not want anyone to know she is from there.

 

Order of the Divine

 

Eurus

Eurus is Makani's sentient longsword. They are her trusty companion, acting of their own free will and often defensive of Makani, pointing their tip at even a caterpillar that the latter was mildly distressed by. In combat, the two are always in sync, their movements forming almost a dance in the air. Makani often uses Eurus as a landing pad to push off of when performing aerial acrobatics. Eurus is also capable of making their own attacks.

They are able to speak telepathically to Makani.

 

Spítha Vélos

Makani observed the other party members fight the water elemental in Nok Harbor from afar, stepping in only when Spítha gets trapped inside it. She was very surprised that Spítha, a fellow air genasi, was making as much of a scene as she was by fighting the water elemental. She was at first suspicious of her, thinking she was sent to find her, before learning that Spítha is from Cialthea. Spítha in turn was confused as to why Makani was so adamant about staying hidden. Their demeanors around others fundamentally clash, with Spítha's penchant for oversharing contrasting Makani's overly secretive nature. Despite this, however, they are not hostile towards each other and Spítha is quite friendly with her, if a little befuddled by her ways.
